My Village

My Village

Many of you have read my blog one time or another. If you every read any of the earlier versions would have noticed I mentioned a village or tribe. I have been asked what is a village? There is an old saying "It takes a village to raise a child." well, it is for more than a child/er. As an adult that has been many moments were I had to seek information from someone who was an elder. I am speaking of my Mother and when my Great Grand Mother of Gran Mother were with us I would look to to them for some sort of wisdom.

We have to realize that you need a village in other areas of life. One example is Child birth. We as women do not share our experiences. Most women share but only the scaring parts whether they mean to or it in advertently frightening a women we tell the worst of the journey. Pregnancy, Labor, Birth and Postpartum recovery is a serious thing and we should share our journeys.

I have shared my journey in loss, struggle and successes in conception. While I was sharing I was healing. Most women view this as a very private thing and it is Please do not get me wrong I understand I have been there. Know that I didn't start to heal until I told my story. I share the Good the bad and the ugly of it all, but in Love without using fear based words, however looking to educate, encourage and direct women toward information and healing.
